Job Responsibilities
As a Packing Helper, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the packaging and sorting of vegetables according to company standards
- Inspecting vegetables before packing to remove damaged or spoiled items
- Ensuring accurate labeling and tagging of packed vegetables for identification and traceability
- Cleaning and maintaining packaging materials and equipment to meet hygiene standards
- Loading and unloading vegetables onto delivery trucks or into storage areas
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the packing area
- Following food safety guidelines and hygiene procedures at all times
- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling vegetables
- Working closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow and productivity
- Reporting quality issues, shortages, or damaged produce to the supervisor
- Performing additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or management
Required Experience and Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Packing Helper or in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of vegetables and packaging standards
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions carefully
- Good communication skills to report issues to the team leader or supervisor
- Physical stamina to handle standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when required
