Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide high-quality primary medical care using a holistic, person- and whānau-centred approach
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions for diverse patient populations
- Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth platforms
Continuity & Coordination of Care
- Develop appropriate management plans, including referrals and follow-up care
- Ensure continuity of care through timely documentation and patient communication
Preventative & Community Health
- Promote health, wellbeing, and disease prevention
- Deliver culturally safe and inclusive care to patients and their whānau
Professional Practice
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in supervision and professional development as required
Job Requirements
- Medical degree recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand (or eligibility for registration)
- Eligibility or willingness to obtain MCNZ registration and required supervision pathway
- Current or recent experience in general practice or family medicine
- Commitment to delivering culturally safe, patient-centred care
- Willingness to relocate to New Zealand
