Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Provide high-quality primary medical care using a holistic, person- and whānau-centred approach
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions for diverse patient populations
  • Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth platforms

Continuity & Coordination of Care

  • Develop appropriate management plans, including referrals and follow-up care
  • Ensure continuity of care through timely documentation and patient communication

Preventative & Community Health

  • Promote health, wellbeing, and disease prevention
  • Deliver culturally safe and inclusive care to patients and their whānau

Professional Practice

  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Participate in supervision and professional development as required

Job Requirements

  • Medical degree recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand (or eligibility for registration)
  • Eligibility or willingness to obtain MCNZ registration and required supervision pathway
  • Current or recent experience in general practice or family medicine
  • Commitment to delivering culturally safe, patient-centred care
  • Willingness to relocate to New Zealand
