Structural Welding Supervisor Job in Qatar

IRS Tunisia is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Structural Welding Supervisor Job in Qatar to join our offshore construction projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will supervise structural welding activities, ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements while driving productivity and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, enforce, and uphold standards of Safety, Ethics, and Quality in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
  • Ensure immediate corrective action and reporting where procedures or policies are not met.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members, Foremen, Superintendents, Engineers, and support departments.
  • Read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, procedures, and dimensional surveys.
  • Plan work activities at least four weeks in advance using current project schedules.
  • Provide Foremen with accurate drawings, work instructions, and technical information.
  • Coordinate with Production and Field Engineers to ensure material availability.
  • Ensure proper tools and equipment are available and used safely and efficiently.
  • Forecast manpower, equipment, and resource requirements for upcoming work.
  • Set production targets and monitor progress, productivity, and quality performance.
  • Monitor estimated man-hours, control man-hour bookings, and submit weekly progress reports.
  • Conduct meetings, Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety walk-throughs, and Hazard Identification (HIT) reviews.
  • Raise CIRs (Computer Input Requests) and RFIs (Requests for Inspection) in a timely manner.
  • Review Task Risk Assessments (TRA) with Foremen and ensure crew understanding.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and promote Behavior-Based Safety Management (BBSM).
  • Report performance issues and recommend improvements to the Superintendent.
  • Lead by example and ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Offshore Construction, with strong structural welding supervision exposure.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to supervise welding and fabrication teams on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore construction standards and welding practices.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
