This full-time role involves harvesting premium-quality blueberries across multiple farm sites in the Dimbulah and Mutchilba regions. RN FARMS PTY LTD is a well-established blueberry farming enterprise formed through the merger of two successful NSW-based blueberry growers. With over a decade of experience producing premium-quality blueberries, the company has expanded operations into Far North Queensland (FNQ). The business focuses on innovation, sustainability, and quality production, while creating employment opportunities that contribute to regional economic growth.
The farms are located in Dimbulah (five sites within close proximity) and Mutchilba (approximately 30 minutes from Dimbulah).
Requirements
- AQF Certificate I or higher qualification
- 1–3 years of experience in fruit picking or related agricultural work
- Ability to work full-time outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive bending, lifting, and standing for long hours
- Understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to travel between farm locations if required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Skills
- Careful hand-harvesting techniques to prevent fruit damage
- Ability to assess fruit size, colour, firmness, and ripeness
- Knowledge of grading, sorting, weighing, and packing procedures
- Basic farm machinery operation and maintenance skills
- Attention to detail and quality control awareness
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality
