Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Farm Worker Job in Canada to support daily farm operations in Godmanchester, QC. This role involves working with livestock, crops, maple syrup production, and general farm duties year-round. The ideal candidate is punctual, team-oriented, and comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of livestock workers, machinery operators, and harvesting labourers
- Support movement and preparation of products for shipment, especially during winter months
- Assist with breeding and livestock-related programs
- Maintain a clean and organized farm environment
- Ensure equipment is properly cared for and maintained
- Monitor and enforce procedures for animal and crop health and welfare
- Participate in crop production operations, including grains
- Tap maple trees in all weather conditions
- Supervise maintenance of farm infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- Promote and enforce farm safety procedures
- Perform general farm duties as needed
- Carry out other related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Willing to work evenings and weekends when required
- Assets (not required):
- Valid driver’s licence
- Experience operating farm machinery
- Mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working around small animals
