Mexico Central School District is seeking a responsible and dependable Motor Vehicle Operator Job in Mexico to join its Transportation Department. Key Responsibilities
Transportation Duties
- Transport children or adults to and from school safely
- Deliver supplies, equipment, food, and mail using light motor vehicles
- Perform errands requiring use of a vehicle
Vehicle Maintenance
- Check oil, tires, mileage, and fuel levels
- Wash and clean vehicles regularly
- Report and suggest necessary repairs
Administrative Support
- Maintain simple clerical records
- Perform routine clerical or office tasks when not driving
Requirements
- Must meet all NYSED and DMV requirements
- Valid CDL Class C license or higher with Passenger Endorsement at time of appointment
- Basic behavior management skills
- Willingness to perform routine tasks
- Good physical condition
Skills & Abilities
- Good knowledge of local geography and traffic laws
- Ability to safely operate automobiles and light delivery trucks
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
