Metro Compactor Service is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder Job In Canada /Fitter to join its Production Shop team in Canada. This position focuses on custom fabrication, welding, and refurbishment of waste and recycling equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding experience, the ability to interpret blueprints accurately, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced production environment. Working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering a consistent daytime schedule.

Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Experience in fitting and fabrication operations
- Ability to work with black steel (mild carbon) of various gauges and plate thicknesses
- Skilled in using measuring tools and reading measuring tape accurately
- Ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds
- Torch cutting and forklift operation experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Strong knowledge of MIG welding techniques (stitch welds and continuous beads)
