Job Summary
The Finance Manager oversees the financial activities of FHI 360 projects in Madagascar. The role manages budgets, forecasts, financial reports, expenses, financial systems, compliance, and audits.
The manager also reviews financial data, analyzes budget differences, supports strategic decisions, manages subrecipient finances, and helps control financial risks.
The role also leads and develops financial analysts and national finance staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review financial data and reports.
- Lead project budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Review project expenses and ensure they follow approved budgets and donor requirements.
- Prepare and validate donor financial reports.
- Analyze budget differences and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate project financial records.
- Monitor sub-awards and grants.
- Provide financial analysis and compliance advice.
- Support annual budget and work plan planning.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Supervise and develop financial staff.
- Manage financial systems and tools.
- Monitor subrecipient financial compliance.
- Protect confidential financial information.
- Support strategic resource planning.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Education

Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 3 years of management experience.
- At least 3 years of organizational or corporate-level experience.
- Experience managing complex contracts, awards, sub-awards, and grants is strongly preferred.
- Excellent English skills are required.
- Knowledge of the local language is required as needed.
- NGO experience is required or strongly preferred.
- Experience with international organizations and US Government funding is required.
