Schlumberger (SLB) is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Welder Job in Mexico to join its production team in Mexico. This role focuses on high-precision TIG welding, brazing, assembly, and testing work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities
- Set up new production test areas, including layout, tooling, and equipment setup
- Support transition from development to production, including first article builds
- Perform TIG welding according to engineering drawings, models, specifications, and procedures
- Conduct brazing according to ASME IX III standards
- Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, QA inspectors, and managers to ensure on-time delivery
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct assembly issues through repair, modification, or rework
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Operate precision tools and equipment (TIG welders, brazing systems, gauges, gas systems, etc.)
- Test and calibrate DPU assemblies per engineering procedures
- Support Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives through workplace organization and cleanliness
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety and efficiency
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- D17.1 and D14.1 welding certifications
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, integration, or related field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications
- Basic mathematics skills
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Must meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements (citizen, permanent resident, or authorized refugee/asylee status)
- Ability to lift up to 44 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights
