JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Painter to join our construction and renovation team.
In this role, you will apply paint, coatings, and finishes to different surfaces. The work covers residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Your skills will help each project meet high standards for quality, safety, and appearance.
This position includes different projects. You will handle tasks from surface preparation to detailed finishing work. Your work will help transform spaces with precision and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and applying primer for proper paint adhesion.
- Apply paint with different methods, including brushes, rollers, conventional spray painting, and airless paint spraying equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Perform structural painting on building frameworks, stucco surfaces, masonry, and fixtures during renovation or restoration projects.
- Follow safety regulations. Use respiratory protection and safety harnesses when working at heights with ladders or scaffolding. Follow all safety protocols.
- Conduct quality checks by comparing colors visually and inspecting surfaces. Ensure consistent color matching and finish quality.
- Assist with construction estimating by assessing material needs and project scope for accurate planning.
- Work with carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other tradespeople to coordinate project tasks.
- Support maintenance activities on existing structures by completing touch-ups or full surface overhauls when needed.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in construction painting, including residential, commercial, industrial, or renovation projects.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures, safety regulations, and the use of scaffolding or ladders for elevated work.
- Hands-on knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including sanding, scraping, plastering, caulking, and priming.
- Skilled in applying different coatings with brushes, rollers, spray guns, including airless spray, and conventional spray equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes accurately.
- Experience with specialty coatings, such as industrial paints or restoration finishes, is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently.
- Knowledge of carpentry, including trim carpentry, and basic masonry, such as stucco work or masonry repairs, is an advantage.
- Ability to work safely on construction sites while following all safety protocols for respiratory protection and fall prevention.
